Frequently Asked Questions

How long does my email address last?
Every address lives for exactly 24 hours from the moment it is created. After that, the address stops receiving mail and every message in its inbox is permanently deleted.

Can I get an address back after it expires?
No. Expiry is permanent by design. Once an address expires, it and its messages are gone and cannot be recovered.

Can I send email from my temporary address?
No. Burner Email is receive-only. You can receive verification codes, confirmation links, and newsletters, but you cannot reply or compose mail.

Are attachments supported?
No. Attachments are stripped for storage and safety reasons. The text of the message, including any links, is always delivered.

How many addresses can I have?
Up to 10 active addresses at a time. When one expires, its slot frees up. Need more at once? Open the site in a private/incognito window or another browser for a separate set.

Do I need an account?
No. There is no registration, no password, and nothing to sign up for. Your addresses are remembered by your own browser.

Is this anonymous?
Reasonably, but not absolutely. We don't ask who you are, and messages self-destruct within 24 hours. However, like nearly every website, basic technical logs (such as IP addresses for abuse prevention) may exist briefly. Don't use this service for anything where your safety depends on anonymity.

Why does a website say my email address is not accepted?
Some websites block known temporary email domains. That is their choice and there is no workaround on our side.

Someone sent me something important. Where is it?
Check that the address hasn't expired, and remember mail can take a minute to arrive. Use the "Check now" button. If the address expired before the mail arrived, the message was rejected or deleted.
